1897 Anthony Runabout

Charles King completed his automobile in March of 1896, and, with his helper Oliver Barthell aboard, King made his maiden journey through the streets of what would become Motown. Henry Ford, whose car wasn't running until three months later, followed on a bicycle. After a lenghty delay, he founded the King Automobile Co. in 1912
